Australian fast food giant KFC has shared its simple recipe to create the ultimate popcorn chicken nachos at home.

The easy-to-follow ‘poppin’ nachos’ recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prepare in just four simple steps.

All you’ll need are KFC’s Popcorn Chicken, corn chips, kidney beans, tomato salsa, red onion, cheese, guacamole and jalapenos.

To prepare the meal, simply layer up the corn chips in a baking tray or an ovenproof dish, topped with popcorn chicken, kidney beans and cheese.

How to make KFC Popcorn Chicken Nachos at home 

2 x packets of corn chips

1 x can of kidney beans

1 x jar of tomato salsa

½ a red onion

METHOD 

Alternate layers of corn chips, Popcorn Chicken, cheese, and kidney beans on a baking tray.

Cook in a fan-forced oven at 200 degrees for five minutes until cheese is melted. Meanwhile, finely chop the red onion.

To serve, top with guacamole, salsa, onion and jalapenos and enjoy!

The ‘genius’ recipe was shared on social media on Sunday evening, and has since been viewed more than 30,000 times.

Hundreds of foodies quickly commented on the post, with many describing the dish as an ‘absolute winner’ after creating the same nachos at home.

Others tagged their friends and family to the thread for quick and easy food ideas, while some said the nachos looked delicious. 

‘I’ve died and gone to heaven,’ one woman said, while another added: ‘Shut up and take my money’.
